Workshops can provide the essential technique you need to dance, but only practice will turn you into a dancer. Our weekly practica is designed to complement the intensive weekends and provide a comfortable setting where you can take things at your own speed free from the pressures of a crowded milonga. We have the use of a fully equipped dance studio at The Garage in Chaplefield North, close to the Theatre Royal, complete with a sprung floor, full length mirrors and a barre. There is no formal lesson. Dancers are encouraged to work under their own initiative and to share what they have learned with others in a spirit of collaborative exploration. Tony and Kate are on hand for help and advice. The Practica runs from 7.45 – 9.45 every Monday. (Though it doesn’t quite end there. Most people fetch up in Marzano’s café at the Forum afterwards where hours of selfless experimentation have revealed that Un Abrazo de Chocolat - hot chocolate laced with brandy - is the perfect way to round off the evening.)
